The Goal
The goal is to gain profound knowledge about photobook publishing and to create a network for the participants which enables them to self-publish a photobook or found their own publishing house.

October 20-21, 2018 – about the history of the photobook
Opening and lecture by Martin Parr and guide tour through some most important
photobooks of the history
Lecture by Kristin Dittrich about the Steidl Library and the history of the photobook

November 17-18, 2018 – the art of design
two days workshop by Ania Nalecka

January 26-27, 2019 – editing and sequencing
two days workshop by Gerry Badger

February 23-24, 2019 – photobook binding
two days workshop by Beatrix Mapalagama

March 30-31, 2019 – building a network, funding and financing, marketing,
selfpublishing and publishing cooperations
four lectures in two days: Michael Mack (publisher UK), Klaus Kehrer (publisher
Germany), Rainer Iglar (Fotohof), Klaus Pichler (photographer who selfpublished and
published by Patrick Frey, Fotohof, co-published with AnzenbergerGallery)

April 27-28, 2019 – the art of publishing
two days workshop by Nicolo Degiorgis / Rorhof

May 18-19, 2019 – excursion with Kristin Dittrich to Steidl Verlag Göttingen

The deadline to apply is open until the class is full. APPLY NOW by sending your biography and a letter of motivation to masterclass@anzenberger.com. Participants should understand spoken and written English. There are no limitations regarding age or nationality.

Fee
There is no charge for applying. The fee for successful applicants is 2.900 €. Payment instructions will be given to you upon acceptance. Participants must make themselves available for all workshops – there are no refunds for days missed!
